Professor Zhu Yuntian elected to the National Academy of Inventors

in recognition of his tangible impact on the quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society.

This is the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors. He will be inducted at the 12th NAI Annual Meeting to be held in Washington, D.C. inJune 2023.

ProfessorZhu is an experimentalist with a primary interest in the fundamental aspects ofmaterials science and designing materials with superior strength and ductility.His research focuses on deformation mechanisms at the dislocation level andmechanical behaviours of heterostructured and nano/ultrafine-grainedmaterials.
